I have been involved in the American Cancer Society (ACS) Relay for Life for about 8 years. We have had a team, been committee members, and corporate sponsors. From my point of view, yes, breast cancer does hog the spotlight, which makes it harder for us to raise money.

I wish people would actually do the math. It's a tiny increase on the wealthy. And if it's socialism, or redistribution of wealth, what was it when the raised taxes on the middle class, and cut them on the wealthy. Redistribution? Check out thisblog post for actual numbers

First of all, there is nothing socialist about Obama's plans. Second of all, you might want to learn a little about our government. We are a Capitalist/Socialist society. The public schools. Socialist. We all pay for it, whether you have kids or not.

I don't begrudge them that. I own a business I started 11 years ago with one months pay and a loan for a used van. I've had as many as 8 employees, though less now. I provide group health insurance, along with the usual benefits.
